Holy Sh1t!

It has been a long time since I heard this kind of "classic" rock album. They sound absolutely great. I only got it the download Monday, but it is such a great summer album, I haven't stopped listening yet.

For those of you who don't know D. Jr. This album sounds like a cross between Meatpuppets and Tom Petty, but really heavy on guitar and drums.

They are doing a free show for KEXP in Seattle on the 7th. I can't go, because I'll be camping, which is a total bummer.

They got back together I think before the last album.

Saw them live once about 12 years ago. That guy has about 600 different guitars right? Good stuff.

Damn. You know your getting old when your favourite "cutting edge" bands start doing reunion tours.

Never saw them but saw their guitar player do a gig with Mark Lanegan. Other artists that played for Mark L. at that show were Duff Mckagen, Ben Shephard, And Dave Dederer. Was about 8 or 9 years ago in Seattle at the EMP liquid Lounge.
